Lived up and grown up in a remote district Ballia of India's most populated province Uttar Pradesh, now settled in Bhopal, a beautiful city in the heart of India, I have see life in its many colors. From grey to the brightest shades, have keenly observed and tried to express as I have seen.
'Raped Every Day' is the first book in the series, called Meeta-The Superman.
The characters are inspired from true lives and incidents. India is rightly called the country with unity in diversity. It is home to most, fearless and Independent women of history but at the same time there are women, who do not even know what is the meaning of independence. Ignorance is a bliss, they too are happy.
And Meeta-The Superwoman, ah! don't get me wrong, she is not the superwoman who can fly or fight like any comic heroine, she is a normal girl, who transforms into a real life 'super woman'.
Through her voice, I have tried to bring up, the true picture of a society that many of us living in big cities, or any other nation, who now see India as a fast developing country, would believe that it ever exists. And through, her metamorphosis I have tried to express what the iron resolves of a woman can do.
The first part of the series, is about the real issues, faced by millions of women and girls of our country. These are seldom brought to discussion tables.
Hope, it 'Raped Every Day', will serve its purpose. It will soon be released.
